Chinese New Year,Lunar New Year is the most important festival among of the Traditional Chinese Holidays. Because it is based on the Lunisolar Chinese Calendar and that's the reason called "Lunar New Year". The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first monthin the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th of the first month; the last day of the festival (15th) is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Year's Eve is known as a family reunion day.
